2018 Prospect Preview: Boise State WR Cedrick Wilson is a big-play threat

  • Boise State WR Cedrick Wilson enters the 2017 college season as a Day 2 projection for the 2018 NFL draft.
  • Wilson ended the 2016 college season with a PFF overall grade of 81.7 and a receiving grade of 82.0, which ranked No. 22 of 477 wide receivers.
  • Wilson has proved to be a big-play threat, and was dangerous with the ball in his hands in 2016. On his 53 receptions, he averaged 20.2 yards per catch and forced 12 missed tackles, the 13th most among 153 draft-eligible receivers. He ended the season averaging 3.74 yards per route run, No. 2 in the 2018 draft class.
  • Heading into his senior year, Wilson will be looking to improve his catch rate and run-blocking. In 2016, Wilson dropped five of his 61 catchable targets, for a drop rate of 8.20 percent, which ranked No. 55 of 126 receivers with at least 40 targets, and he received a run-blocking grade of just 51.7.
