- Stock up for Bolton: Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton played an every-down role, potentially breaking the trend of not having one in Steve Spagnuolo’s defense.
- Chinn's Week 1 usage brings a sigh of relief for IDP managers: Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn saw his ideal IDP usage return to normal after a preseason scare.
- Add Deablo: Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Divine Deablo looks locked in as the team’s LB1, even before the Denzel Perryman injury.

WEEK 1 WAIVER WIRE TARGETS
Some of the key players stood out as potential adds after Week 1 for leagues of all sizes:
LB – Frankie Luvu, CAR – He led all Panthers’ linebackers in snap share (85%) and should be considered a speculative add in deeper leagues in case that continues into Week 2.
LB – Alex Singleton, DEN – With Josey Jewell inactive on Monday Night, Singleton played as the Broncos' primary linebacker. He should continue to do so as long as Jewell is out.
LB – Divine Deablo, LV – Deablo was the Raiders' primary linebacker even before Denzel Perryman‘s injury. He played over 90% of the team's defensive snaps and should be added in most IDP formats.
LB – Kenneth Murray, LAC – Murray led all Chargers linebackers in snap share (70%) this week. It’s possible Drue Tranquill is being eased back in with an injury, but Murray should be a speculative add in deeper leagues.
LB – Austin Calitro, NYG – For really deep leagues, Calitro emerged as the Giants’ secondary linebacker but played less than 70% of team's defensive snaps.
LB – Jamin Davis, WAS – Davis was essentially an every-down linebacker, making him well worth a pickup in most leagues.
EDGE – Dominique Robinson, CHI – Robinson shared the second-highest snap share on obvious passing downs and put up an impressive stat line. He can be added in deep leagues.
EDGE – Jerry Hughes, HST – Hughes played the second-highest snap share among the Texans' edge defenders and posted the most impressive pass rush metrics of the group.
EDGE – George Karlaftis, KC – The rookie first-rounder led all Chiefs edge defenders in snap share and posted some strong underlying metrics in doing so. He could be the hidden gem of the week considering his low box score numbers in Week 1.
S – Grant Delpit, CLV – Delpit is officially Cleveland's top safety to roster, playing an every-down role in ideal IDP alignments.
S – Donovan Wilson, DAL – Jayron Kearse suffered an injury, so Wilson moved from his starting deep safety spot to play the box snaps vacated by Kearse.
S – Jalen Pitre, HST – Pitre played ideal alignment snaps for consistent IDP production and should be added in most fantasy leagues.
S – Nick Scott, LAR – Overtook Jordan Fuller as the starting safety this week and played just over 20% of his snaps in the box, which led all Rams’ safety options.
S – Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, PHI – Gardner-Johnson was an every-down player in ideal safety alignments, making him the top safety to roster in Philadelphia.
S – Mike Edwards, TB – With Antoine Winfield manning the slot, Edwards played a full-time role in the preferred alignments for IDP production.
S – Josh Jones, SEA – With a potentially major injury to Jamal Adams, Jones took over his spot with the starters.
S – Darrick Forrest, WAS – Forrest will be worth an add in most leagues for as long as Kamren Curl continues to miss time.

- Simmons did play 48% of his snaps in the slot while Collins spent 18% of his snaps on the edge. This is where Vigil came in to play a typical linebacker role.

- UPGRADE: Grant Delpit has officially jumped Ronnie Harrison on the depth chart as a full-time safety for the Browns. His usage was about as good as it gets for IDP purposes. While he only managed three total tackles, that production is sure to increase as the weeks go on, assuming his usage continues to be ideal.
