We’re back again to look at this week’s best fantasy football waiver wire claims to make for IDP leagues. Week 8 is in the books, and hopefully we’ve all been competitive enough that we’re setting ourselves up for a shot to be in the playoffs. In order to do that, we need to stay active and hit those waiver wires to fill any holes on our teams.
Here’s some help to get those rosters full of talent with 10 more IDP waiver targets.
Defensive line
Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
JPP is back! It's a good thing for the Tampa Bay defense and a great thing for our fantasy rosters. After missing the first seven games with a broken neck(!), Pierre-Paul returned to action Sunday and made an impact right away by landing a sack to go along with 2 tackles on 42 snaps. Pierre-Paul should be still designated as a DE on many sites, which adds to his value. If not for the injury, JPP likely would have been rostered in almost every league but now sits un-owned in the majority of IDP leagues.
Ben Banogu, DE, Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are without two of their pass-rushing prospects from last year's draft in Kemoko Turay and Tyquan Lewis, so they were forced to turn to their pass-rushing prospect from this year's draft in Banogu. He delivered a sack against the Broncos, showing that he can be productive on limited snaps and filling in for the Colts defense. Banogu has only played over 25 snaps twice this season (Weeks 1 and 8) and both times has converted his pressures into sacks. With Turay on IR and Lewis still recovering, that should open up some snaps for Banogu to hopefully continue his “snaps equals sacks” streak for a little while longer, at least.
