- Bobby Wagner’s descent down the ranks: Why is Wagner not producing as expected and how should he be viewed for IDP going forward?
- Quietly dominant: Dexter Lawrence has worked his way to PFF’s second-highest pass-rush grade for interior defenders and has a shot for big-time production in Week 13.
- As solid as a corner can be in IDP: Charvarius Ward has 60 tackles and a 0.0% missed tackle rate, making him one of the most reliable CB options each week.

Bobby Wagner’s (LB21) IDP value continues to fall, as his tackle efficiency this season has ranged from average to below average on almost a weekly basis. He currently ranks 52nd among linebackers (min. 100 snaps) in tackle efficiency at 12.8%. Despite playing in the most zone-heavy defense in the NFL, which has proven to increase efficiency for linebackers, Wagner continues to disappoint. He ranks 93rd at his position in first contact rate (7.1%), which could explain his lack of ball production — he is no longer one of the quicker players to the ball at the age of 32. Wagner still plays every snap for the Rams, and his volume alone should allow him to be productive, but he should be considered more of a low-end LB2 going forward.
Chad Muma (LB24) has emerged as a late-season rookie with a new full-time role after displacing fellow rookie Devin Lloyd this past week in Jacksonville’s defense. Muma’s calling card heading into the draft was his elite run defense, as he ranked second among the country’s linebackers in run defense grade (91.1) and posted 148 total tackles in 2021. While that will be a very difficult metric to replicate in the NFL as a rookie, it should still remain a strength for him. At the very least he should avoid missed tackles, which was one of the issues that likely got Lloyd benched. Muma should be an effective IDP for as long as he remains in this full-time role and well worth a starting spot in most leagues for the rest of this season.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (LB25) appears to have regained the top spot among Browns linebackers with a snap share of 95% in each of the past two weeks. Hopefully this is a sign that IDP managers can plug him into lineups regularly without concern that the coaching staff will play musical chairs with their linebackers again this season. Owusu-Koramoah has been an effective IDP when given the opportunity, posting a 14.7% tackle rate and 11.3% first contact rate, both above average for his position.
