- Dynamic duos at linebacker: Jacksonville, San Francisco and Kansas City boast impressive twosomes with positive IDP matchups in this week’s linebacker spotlight.
- Is it time to trust the Miami safety situation again: Brandon Jones has everything going for him to be an IDP star, as long as Miami doesn’t pull his snaps (again).
- Dallas’ three-headed safety monster: Which of the Cowboys’ safeties should IDP managers trust the most going forward?

The midway point of the fantasy football regular season can be a great turning point for teams looking to rebound from a poor start, or it can be where things start to go wrong for those that become complacent. Be sure to stay ahead of your league-mates and on top of all the new information as it becomes available — IDP situations are constantly changing from week to week.

Foyesade Oluokun (LB6) and Devin Lloyd (LB12) are the only teammates to rank inside the top-10 in total tackles among linebackers so far this season. With Oluokun at 61 and Lloyd at 56, the Jaguars' defense has been an efficient one for their linebackers, and the exact reason both players came into the season ranked inside the top 12 at their position. The Giants offense runs through Saquon Barkley and a quarterback with the lowest average depth of target (6.2) in the league, which should keep both linebackers heavily involved this week.
The chalk ranking for the 49ers linebackers is often Fred Warner over Dre Greenlaw because of the name recognition and Warner’s talent, but with both players playing the same amount of snaps there’s no reason to follow that week to week. Greenlaw (LB9) has out-produced Warner (LB18) this season in terms of tackles and he’s in a great spot to do so again in Week 7. Entering this week, Greenlaw is tied for the most total tackles against the pass (31) among linebackers — something that comes from being targeted the fifth-most (33) among all linebackers this season and, more importantly, over Warner (20). The Chiefs come into this week averaging 38.3 pass attempts per game (8th), which should create ample opportunity for Greenlaw to add to his strong tackle totals this season.
When last we saw Willie Gay (LB29) in Week 2, he was coming off a 92% snap share that resulted in 11 total tackles. With his four-game suspension now served, Gay should be placed back in the starting lineup where that increased role will hopefully continue next to Nick Bolton (LB2). The Chiefs draw a positive linebacker matchup against a top-10 team in rushing attempts per game (28.0), which should allow for an efficient day for both Kansas City linebackers.
