Bills get an A for bringing in Amari Cooper: The Bills add a player who averaged over 2.00 yards per route run in both of his seasons in Cleveland, giving Josh Allen another weapon.

Jets get an A+ for reuniting QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Davante Adams: The Jets’ season hasn’t gone as planned, but landing a true top target at wide receiver for a third-round pick is a solid move — especially with Adams, who hasn’t posted a PFF receiving grade below 70.0 since 2015.

The 2024 NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST, and we have already seen a flurry of last-minute moves as teams scramble to address roster needs, boost playoff chances or accumulate draft capital for the future.

From high-profile wide receivers like Davante Adams finding a new home to strategic depth additions like the Chiefs acquiring pass rusher Josh Uche, we’ve analyzed every move so far.

Here, we’ll break down the key transactions and assign grades based on each team’s approach, roster fit and overall value gained.

DI Khalil DavisSan Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers send: 2026 seventh-round draft pick

Houston Texans send: DI Khalil Davis

Davis’ career-high 64.4 PFF grade in 2023 suggests he is likely a depth addition for the 49ers. Last season, he recorded 23 total pressures across 269 pass-rushing snaps.

  • 49ers grade: C+
  • Texans grade: C

CB Tre’Davious WhiteBaltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens send: 2026 seventh-round draft pick

Los Angeles Rams send: CB Tre’Davious White and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick

White started the first four games of the season for the Rams, earning a PFF coverage grade of just 49.3 and allowing four touchdowns. The Ravens have dealt with injuries at the cornerback position in the first half of the year, so this adds some depth there, at very little cost, with some upside if he can regain his form from earlier in his career.

  • Rams grade: B

EDGE Preston SmithPittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers send: 2025 seventh-round draft pick

Green Bay Packers send: EDGE Preston Smith

The Steelers add some depth on the edge with the addition of Smith, who has generated 10 total pressures from 171 pass-rushing snaps so far this season. Smith generated at least 40 pressures every year between 2021 and 2023 and adds to an already deep edge defender group.

  • Steelers grade: B+
  • Packers grade: C

WR Mike WilliamsPittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers send: 2025 fifth-round draft pick

New York Jets send: WR Mike Williams

In one of the most obvious trade fits, the Steelers add a receiver who can win contested catches for Russell Wilson. Williams has hauled in 54.2% of contested targets throughout his NFL career.

  • Steelers grade: B+
  • Jets grade: B

CB Marshon LattimoreWashington Commanders

Washington Commanders send: 2025 third-round draft pick, 2025 fourth-round draft pick, 2025 sixth-round draft pick (originally their own)

New Orleans Saints send: CB Marshon Lattimore and a 2025 fifth-round draft pick

The Commanders make the splash they were looking to make on the defensive side of the ball. Lattimore has earned a PFF coverage grade above 65.0 in all but one of his eight seasons in the NFL and upgrades their secondary. For the Saints, it’s a solid return, given that they look to be in sell-now mode.

  • Commanders grade: A
  • Saints grade: B+

WR Jonathan MingoDallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys send: 2025 fourth-round draft pick

Carolina Panthers send: WR Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick

Mingo has struggled to make an impact in the NFL, but the Cowboys are betting on the traits that made him a second-round pick. The former Ole Miss standout has averaged less than 1.00 yard per route run in each of his first two NFL seasons.

  • Cowboys grade: C
  • Panthers grade: B+

RB Khalil HerbertCincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals send: 2025 seventh-round draft pick

Chicago Bears send: RB Khalil Herbert

With Zack Moss sidelined, the Bengals were in the market for another running back, and Herbert could provide a boost if he can regain his pre-2024 form. Though he’s tallied only eight rushing attempts this season, he earned a PFF rushing grade of 75.0 or better in each season from 2021 to 2023.

  • Bengals grade: B+
  • Bears grade: C

EDGE Za’Darius SmithDetroit Lions

Detroit Lions send: 2025 fifth-round draft pick and 2026 sixth-round draft pick

Cleveland Browns send: EDGE Za’Darius Smith and 2026 seventh-round draft pick

The Lions were a Super Bowl contender in desperate need of a pass-rusher after Aidan Hutchinson’s season-ending injury, and Smith is a huge upgrade for them off the edge. His 71.1 PFF pass-rushing grade ranks 24th at the position this season and is significantly better than every healthy edge defender currently on the Lions roster.

  • Lions grade: A+
  • Browns grade: B-

EDGE Baron BrowningArizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals send: 2025 sixth-round draft pick

Denver Broncos send: EDGE Baron Browning

Browning has played only 79 pass-rushing snaps this season, so he's not seen much action, but he’s earned a respectable 68.0 PFF pass-rushing grade and posted a 74.7 grade last season. At the very least, this move provides solid depth for the Cardinals, with enough upside to make it a worthwhile addition.

  • Cardinals grade: B+
  • Broncos grade: B-

T Cam RobinsonMinnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings send: 2026 fifth-round draft pick (can become a fourth-round draft pick based on playing time)

Jacksonville Jaguars send: OT Cam Robinson and a conditional 2026 seventh-round draft pick

The Vikings needed a starting-caliber offensive tackle after Christian Darrisaw’s season-ending injury, and Robinson is very much that. Over the first six games of the season, he earned a PFF pass-blocking grade above 75.0 in four outings for the Jaguars. And with the 2024 season not unfolding as hoped, the conditional pick that could become a fourth-rounder in 2026 is not a terrible return for Jacksonville.

  • Vikings grade: A
  • Jaguars grade: B-

WR Diontae JohnsonBaltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens send: 2025 fifth-round draft pick

Carolina Panthers send: WR Diontae Johnson and a 2025 sixth-round draft pick

Johnson provides depth for the Ravens behind top targets Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. The move comes at minimal cost, as Baltimore is only sliding a few spots in the 2025 NFL Draft based on projected positions for them and the Panthers.

  • Ravens grade: B+
  • Panthers grade: C

EDGE Josh UcheKansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs send: 2026 sixth-round draft pick

New England Patriots send: EDGE Josh Uche

Uche may not be an elite edge defender, but he’s a highly capable pass-rusher — and the Chiefs acquired him for minimal cost. He has earned a PFF pass-rushing grade of 65.0 or better in all but one season of his career.

  • Chiefs grade: B+
  • Patriots grade: C

DeAndre HopkinsKansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs send: 2025 conditional fifth-round draft pick (can become a fourth-round draft pick based on playing time and if the Chiefs play in the Super Bowl)

Tennessee Titans send: WR DeAndre Hopkins

Hopkins may not be the receiver he once was, but he still posted a 67.2 PFF receiving grade with the Titans this season. This is a solid depth move for the Chiefs with potential playoff upside, and it’s a reasonable return for a Titans team in rebuild mode.

  • Chiefs grade: B+
  • Titans grade: B-

WR Amari CooperBuffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills send: 2025 third-round draft pick and a 2026 seventh-round draft pick

Cleveland Browns send: WR Amari Cooper

Considering the Browns’ season so far, this is a solid return as they prepare for what appears to be a post-Deshaun Watson rebuild. For the Bills, it adds a player who averaged over 2.00 yards per route run in both of his seasons in Cleveland, giving Josh Allen another weapon.

  • Bills grade: A
  • Browns grade: B

Davante AdamsNew York Jets

New York Jets send: 2025 third-round draft pick (can become a second based on performance)

Las Vegas Raiders send: WR Davante Adams

The Jets’ season hasn’t gone as planned, but landing a true top target at wide receiver for a third-round pick is a solid move — especially with Adams, who hasn’t posted a PFF receiving grade below 70.0 since 2015. For the Raiders, a third-round pick that could become a second is a reasonable return, given that a separation seemed inevitable.

  • Jets grade: A+

Raiders grade: B

EDGE Roy Robertson-HarrisSeattle Seahawks

Seahawks send: 2026 sixth-round draft pick

Jaguars send: EDGE Roy Robertson-Harris

It may not be the most exciting move, but Robertson-Harris adds valuable depth to the Seahawks' defensive line. He has played 82 snaps across three games since joining Seattle.

RB Cam AkersMinnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings send: 2026 sixth-round draft pick

Houston Texans send: RB Cam Akers and 2026 seventh-round pick

Akers had a solid start to the year in Houston, averaging 3.7 yards per carry (and 2.5 yards after contact per carry) and forcing 10 missed tackles on 40 attempts. He should provide valuable depth in the Minnesota backfield.

LB Ernest JonesSeattle Seahawks
LB Jerome BakerTennessee Titans

Seattle Seahawks send: LB Jerome Baker and a 2025 fourth-round draft pick

Tennessee Titans send: LB Ernest Jones

This is a win-win for both teams. The Seahawks upgraded at linebacker by adding Jones, who earned a 78.8 PFF grade last season, while the Titans turned a profit after initially acquiring Jones in a late-round pick swap before the season.
