The Chicago Bears finally got their first win of the season, beating the Washington Commanders 40-20 on the road on Thursday night. Here is our initial statistical review of the Week 5 game.

The Commanders defense couldn’t stop the Bears in the first two quarters, and the offense couldn’t get much done either. Washington essentially lost the game before halftime.

The Bears kept struggling to find targets within the structure of the offense, but they were highly efficient when they did on Thursday night.
Receiving summary
The Bears receiving summary might be one of the most absurd we will see all season, as D.J. Moore accounted for 230 of his team's 282 passing yards. The remaining 52 yards were distributed among just two players.
Rushing summary
The rushing statistics show that the Bears came to play on Thursday Night, and the Commanders didn’t.
Chicago dominated the line of scrimmage in the run game all night. Due to the early deficit, the Commanders didn’t run it often, but when they did, they failed to register a single positive run.
