• Trent Williams remains unquestioned top tackle: The San Francisco 49ers star owns the top run-blocking grade at the position this season.

• Young tackles crack top five: Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs and Christian Darrisaw have all established themselves as cornerstone tackles.

• Penei Sewell already at No. 11: The 2021 top-10 draft pick has settled in nicely during his second NFL season.

Editor's note: Players must meet the snap count minimum to be included in these rankings. These rankings are solely based on player production in 2022 through Week 13.

1. Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers

Williams is the best offensive tackle in the NFL, and it’s been that way for the past decade. No one has a better combination of size, power and athleticism than Williams, and he continues to play at an elite level into his mid-30s. Williams has allowed just one sack this year and is the league's highest-graded run-blocker (92.9).

2. Lane Johnson, Philadelphia Eagles

There is no better right tackle in the league than Johnson. He has yet to allow a single sack or quarterback hit this season, putting together a completely dominant campaign. He’s not quite the run-blocker that Trent Williams is, though, which is the only reason he’s not at No. 1. But Johnson is having another All-Pro-caliber season in Philadelphia.

3. Christian Darrisaw, Minnesota Vikings

One of the breakout stars of the 2022 season, Darrisaw has allowed only two sacks this season (both against Dallas) and has given up only 12 pressures. The former first-round pick out of Virginia Tech missed the past few weeks with a concussion, but he is one of the league’s best young left tackles.

4. Tristan Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Wirfs sprained his ankle a few weeks ago and will miss the next few games, but he was having another incredible season for Tampa Bay. He allowed just one sack and one quarterback hit on 521 pass-block snaps this season. After Lane Johnson, he is the next-best right tackle in the NFL.

5. Andrew Thomas, New York Giants

Thomas has quickly become one of the best young left tackles in the NFL. He is currently the third-highest-graded offensive tackle (86.6) in the NFL, having allowed just one quarterback hit all season. He’s been fantastic in both the run and pass games as he’s developed into an elite tackle.

6. Laremy Tunsil, Houston Texans

Tunsil plays for the worst team in the NFL, but that doesn't take away from how good he's been this season. He's the highest-graded pass-blocker in the NFL this season (91.2) and is solid as a run-blocker, too. He's allowed just nine pressures on 476 pass-blocking snaps this season, including only two quarterback hits.

7. Terron Armstead, Miami Dolphins

Armstead has been in and out of the starting lineup due to multiple injuries, including a significant toe injury. But he's one of the toughest offensive tackles you will ever see, continuing to gut through his injuries to be on the field. Armstead has not allowed a sack yet this season and has surrendered only two pressures. He's a big reason why the Dolphins have made such a leap on offense, as he's stabilized the left side of the offensive line.

8. Kaleb McGary, Atlanta Falcons

He hasn’t received a ton of national attention, but McGary is putting together the best season of his career in 2022. He is the NFL’s second-highest-graded run-blocker (90.5), behind only Trent Williams. He's not quite as good in the passing game (66.2 pass-blocking grade), but he's been dominant overall this season.

9. Kolton Miller, Las Vegas Raiders

Miller’s development over the past few years has been incredible. He was about as raw as it gets coming out of UCLA in 2018, yet he's developed into one of the best overall tackles. The Raiders rarely help him out of the left side, and he has allowed just three quarterback hits all season long.

10. David Bakhtiari, Green Bay Packers

Bakhtiari has missed some time with his knee injury and will miss even more time after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. But he has been fantastic this season, not allowing a single sack or pressure. While he's a bit lower on this list due to time missed, Bakhtiari has looked like his usual All-Pro self again this season.

11. Penei Sewell, Detroit Lions

Sewell could easily be among the top 10 of this list and no one would bat an eye. He’s been incredible for the Lions at right tackle and is a big reason Jared Goff and the run game have been so successful. He is the fourth-highest-graded run-blocker on the season (82.6), behind only Trent Williams, Kaleb McGary and Christian Darrisaw.

It’s also worth mentioning that he has not committed a single penalty this season. If he can continue to improve as a pass-blocker, he'll be in the top five in no time.

12. Brian O’Neill, Minnesota Vikings

The “other” offensive tackle in Minnesota, O’Neill is having a strong 2022 season for the Vikings. He has been a high-quality starter at right tackle for a few years now, but this is the best campaign of his career. He is a supreme athlete with the feet to mirror the best pass-rushers, having allowed only four quarterback hits all season. It's his work in the run game that makes him one of the best right tackles in the league, though.

O’Neill sports an 82.6 run-blocking grade, tied for fourth in the NFL along with Penei Sewell. He might not be quite as good as Darrisaw, but together they form one of the best tackle pairings in the league.

13. Ryan Ramczyk, New Orleans Saints

The Saints' offensive line has struggled at times this season, but it hasn’t been due to poor right tackle play. Ramczyk is having another strong season, currently slotting in as the 14th-highest-graded offensive tackle in the NFL (76.2). While this isn’t the best year of his career, that's more a positive than a negative since he’s been one of the best right tackles in the NFL for the past several seasons.

14. Morgan Moses, Baltimore Ravens

Moses was one of the better free-agent signings of the 2022 offseason, as he's helped firm up the right side of the Ravens' offensive line. Moses has allowed four sacks this season, but most of that is due to quarterback Lamar Jackson holding onto the ball too long. He hasn't allowed a single quarterback hit and is among the most balanced right tackles in the league.

15. Terence Steele, Dallas Cowboys

Steele has become one of the most improved players in the NFL over the past few years, and one of the better right tackles. He's drastically improved as a run-blocker, earning an 81.9 such grade this season. He and Zack Martin have worked so well together on the right side of the Cowboys' line and are a big reason they’ve had so much success on offense.

16. Charles Leno Jr., Washington Commanders

After being released by the Bears, Leno has put together two really nice seasons for the Commanders. He has not allowed a sack in his past three games and has already played over 900 snaps at left tackle this season. While he's not an elite left tackle at this stage of his career, Leno is one of the most reliable and consistent linemen in the league.

17. Jake Matthews, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons roster one of the more underrated tackle pairings in the league with Kaleb McGary and Jake Matthews. Both are former first-round picks, and Matthews is on pace to have his eighth straight season with a 71.0-plus grade.

He’s blossomed as a run-blocker later in his career, but he’ll always be known for his ability to keep quarterbacks clean. He’s allowed just 16 pressures and four quarterback hits in 13 games this season.

18. Jordan Mailata, Philadelphia Eagles

Maybe the biggest left tackle in the NFL, Mailata is having another strong season in Philadelphia. He's allowed five sacks this year but no other quarterback hits. In total, just 18 pressures have been credited to him in 2022.

His play has taken a small step back this season, but he is still one of the league's most physically imposing offensive tackles.

19. Dion Dawkins, Buffalo Bills

Dawkins missed the Week 13 game against the Patriots, and his absence was notable. Buffalo relies on him to win one-on-one matchups and rarely gives him help. He’s held up well this season, allowing just 17 pressures on 465 pass-blocking snaps. This hasn’t quite been the best season of his career, but Dawkins is still playing at an incredibly high level for the Bills.

20. Braden Smith, Indianapolis Colts

The Colts experimented with moving Smith to right guard earlier in the year, which was a mistake. He is a right tackle only, and one of the best in the league. He's dealt with some injuries and even missed Week 13 due to an illness. Still, Smith has not allowed a sack or quarterback hit in each of his past three games.

21. Taylor Decker, Detroit Lions

Decker's play has declined since 2020, but he’s still a quality left tackle for the Lions. He has not allowed a sack in each of the past eight games and has surrendered just one quarterback hit. Decker hasn’t been quite as strong as a run-blocker (68.7), but he’s been pretty solid overall for the Lions this season.

22. Rob Havenstein, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have had major issues across the offensive line this season, especially on the left side. However, the only reliable part of their unit is Havenstein at right tackle. He’s certainly had better years in the past, but he’s allowed just three quarterback hits in his past eight games. Even in his eighth season, he is still one of the better right tackles in the NFL.

23. Orlando Brown Jr., Kansas City Chiefs

The Orlando Brown Jr. fit in Kansas City is still a bit clunky, as he was an All-Pro-caliber right tackle in Baltimore’s run-heavy offense. He’s not quite the same player at left tackle in a pass-first offense, but Brown has still been a valuable player for the Chiefs. He's allowed 39 total pressures this season, but only three sacks. He is one of the most physically talented players in the league, although he'll need to start playing better over the final month of the season as the Chiefs look ahead to the postseason.

24. Tytus Howard, Houston Texans

The Texans don't have a ton going their way right now, but they have one of the better offensive tackle pairings this season. Howard has allowed only one sack on 726 total snaps this season. He could stand to improve as a run-blocker but is having a nice season at right tackle, nonetheless.

25. D.J. Humphries, Arizona Cardinals

Humphries has missed the last few weeks with an injury — the only reason he’s not higher on this list. He is currently the No. 22 offensive tackle in the NFL by PFF grade (72.3) and has not allowed a single sack this season. In fact, he's let up only one quarterback hit on 382 pass-blocking snaps.

Unfortunately, he will not return this season after suffering a back injury, but he needed to be included due to his strong play in the first half of the year.
