The Dallas Cowboys cemented the fifth seed in the NFC and stayed alive in the NFC East division race by beating the Seattle Seahawks 41-35 in a highly entertaining game on Thursday night.

Game Summary

According to our new noise-canceled score metric, the game ended exactly how it was supposed to end.

Both offenses couldn’t be stopped, and while the Cowboys were lucky Seattle missed a field goal, they also missed some opportunities in the red zone.

These effects canceled out, and ultimately, the Cowboys were a deserved winner, even though they had to fight for the win until the last play.

Passing Summary

The passing offenses controlled this game. If anything, it might be a bit concerning that the Cowboys gave up four sacks to a pass rush that hasn’t been especially dominant this season, but that’s only a minor blemish on a really strong performance.
