As part of PFF's grading process, we chart every matchup on the football field, allowing us to take a detailed look at in-game battles and highlight the players who come out on top each week.

There can be obvious matchup victories, such as a wide receiver putting up 150 yards against a struggling cornerback or an edge rusher beating the same tackle to sack the quarterback repeatedly. But there can also be those hidden wins, such as a guard quietly beating his opponent on every pass-block rep or a cornerback holding his receiver to zero targets over a game.

Here are the players who got the better of their matchups in Week 13.

EDGE Haason Reddick, Philadelphia Eagles vs. RT Nicholas Petit-Frere, Tennessee Titans

Reddick lined up against Petit-Frere 19 times, and he beat him seven times — that’s the highest rate in the league across all individual matchups this week. These pass-rush wins translated into six pressures, including one sack.

EDGE Chandler Jones, Las Vegas Raiders vs. LT Jamaree Salyer, Los Angeles Chargers

Jones rushed against Salyer 40 times and won 10 of these reps, all of which translated into pressure. He also got home for two sacks.

EDGE Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas Raiders vs. RT Foster Sarell, Los Angeles Chargers

Just like his teammate, Crosby lived in the Chargers' backfield, as he was able to rack up eight pressures just against Foster Sarrell. He also sacked Justin Herbert once.

LT Jordan Mailata, Philadelphia Eagles vs. EDGE Bud Dupree, Tennessee Titans

Mailata played 28 pass-block reps against Bud Dupree and was left on an island on 26 of these. He still didn’t lose a single one of these reps, greatly contributing to the Eagles' dominant win.

WR Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills vs. CB Jonathan Jones, New England Patriots

Diggs ran 13 routes against Jones. He was targeted on six of them and caught a first down on four of them — impressive numbers for a wide receiver.

WR A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles vs. CB Kristian Fulton, Tennessee Titans

The 40-yard touchdown reception wasn’t the only rep on which A.J. Brown dominated Kristian Fulton, as he won four of his 11 routes against him on Sunday.

WR A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles vs. CB Tre Avery, Tennessee Titans

Brown didn’t just shine against Tre Avery with consistent separation, but he also clearly dominated him at the catch point, catching 92 yards on 11 routes against him, including a touchdown on a go route down the sideline.

WR Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders vs. CB Zyon Gilbert, New York Giants

As so often in his career, it didn’t show up in the box score, but Curtis Samuel ran 19 routes against Zyon Gilbert and was positively graded on nine of them, one of the highest rates in the league this week.

WR Garrett Wilson, New York Jets vs. CB Akayleb Evans, Minnesota Vikings

Wilson lined up against Akaylb Evans 15 times and racked up 114 yards on those plays. He was positively graded on a third of these routes.

CB Damarri Mathis, Denver Broncos vs. WR Demarcus Robinson, Baltimore Ravens

Mathis was asked to cover Robinson 14 times, and he wasn’t graded negatively on his route coverage once. Robinson caught a total of 5 yards and zero first downs against him.

CB Patrick Surtain II, Denver Broncos vs. WR Devin Duvernay, Baltimore Ravens

Patrick Surtain kept a perfectly clean sheet against Duvernay: 8 routes, zero negatively graded routes coverages and zero targets given up.

CB Jaylon Johnson, Chicago Bears vs. WR Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

The Bears defense is one of the worst in the league, but don’t blame Jaylon Johnson, who covered Christian Watson on 14 routes and didn’t give up a single target or even a single positive route-running grade.
