NFL Week 7 Game Recap: Seattle Seahawks 20, Arizona Cardinals 10

The Seattle Seahawks made life difficult for the visiting Arizona Cardinals, limiting them to just 10 points en route to their fourth win of the year. Arizona drops to 1-6 this season following the 20-10 defeat in Week 7.

Offensive spotlight: Geno Smith and the Seahawks had an efficient game where Smith threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns on a 75% completion rate. With D.K. Metcalf out, Smith leaned on rookies Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Jake Bobo, who led the team in receiving yards and scored. Kenneth Walker also went over 100 yards rushing (105) for the first time this season.

The Cardinals' offense, led by Josh Dobbs, struggled to pass the ball, but he scored the team's lone touchdown of the game on rush. Dobbs threw for just 146 yards on 19-of-33 passing. No player exceeded 50 yards receiving for the Cardinals in this game. Emari Demercado dominated the backfield touches, with 13 carries for 58 yards, and brought in four receptions for 17 yards.

Defensive spotlight: The Seahawks' defense held the Cardinals' offense to just 150 yards passing, and eight different players broke up eight passes. Darrell Taylor added 1.5 sacks to the team’s strong defensive effort, marking the first time this season he was able to get home and take down the opposing quarterback.

Rookie spotlight: Seahawks first-round rookie wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba notched his first NFL touchdown to open the scoring in this game. Smith-Njigba saw an increased role in the Seattle offense with D.K. Metcalf inactive due to injury. Smith-Njigba finished the game with a team-leading seven targets for 63 yards and a touchdown.
