- According to ESPN staff writer Vaughn McClure, Atlanta Falcons second-year tight end Austin Hooper has joined Matt Ryan for three days of workouts in order to continue the chemistry they found together last season. Ryan has praised Hooper this off-season, saying, “he's playing like a veteran guy now,” and that he will be a big part of the team's success moving forward.
- Hooper performed well down the stretch for the Falcons, and from Week 17 to the Super Bowl, recorded game grades of 82.0, 77.2, 80.5 and 80.0, the four highest grades of his season.
- The Falcons will be happy that the pair are continuing their progress together, as they showed chemistry last season. When targeting and Hooper, quarterback Matt Ryan posted a passer rating of 150.2, the highest rating by a quarterback when targeting a tight end.
