- Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell was not at the first day of training camp, confirming suspicions that he would be holding out after not signing his franchise tender.
- Regarded as one of the best running backs in the NFL, Bell graded first overall in his position with a grade of 91.9. He proved to be a large factor in the Steelers passing game as well, with the second most receiving yards on the team in 2016, only behind Antonio Brown.
- Bell excelled when running the ball, gaining 786 yards after contact, third among 58 qualifying running backs. Bell was similarly dominant as a pass catcher, ranking first among qualifying running backs with 680 yards after the catch.
