Major media outlets and everyday fans rely on our data, too. We’re looking for new team members who enjoy solving big, intriguing data problems within a creative and agile work environment.


You’ll help build tools that allow pro and college coaches to interact with our huge proprietary data sets in any way they want. Collaborate on creative data visualization and work directly with domain experts (those football fanatics!). As PFF continues to grow, you’ll dive into the full product development process and enjoy real influence without corporate red tape.

Job Summary

As a web designer, you’ll work as part of a cross-disciplinary, self-managed tech team to create exceptional user interfaces for PFF's product offerings. Engaging in design sessions comes just as easily to you as creating wireframes, high fidelity concepts and front-end code. And you enjoy collaborating with everyone from product owners to full-stack developers. PFF is based in Cincinnati, but we’re open to full-time or part-time remote work for the right candidate. You’ll report directly to the CTO.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and users to develop concepts or ideas and turn them into requirements
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final engineering hand-off
  • Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design problems
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and other stakeholders within the organization
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Skills & Experience

We'd love to talk with candidates who have some of the following:

  • 2+ years professional web design experience
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Relevant degree from a four-year school
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wireframing tools
  • Experience developing web interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • A desire to learn new technologies coupled with an ability to learn new skills
